Questions
Is searching really free?
Yes. Search as many addresses as you like. Every search shows how many permits the city has on record, the first two permits and a risk indicator. No account or card is needed.
What is in a full report?
Every permit the city has published for that address, each marked open, expired, closed or no status, with the work description, contractor where the city records one, and a risk score that explains its reasons. It also states where the records come from and how far back they go.
How do report packs work?
Buy 3 reports for $44.99 or 5 reports for $64.99 and use them on any covered address within 12 months. Useful when you are choosing between several houses.
When is Pro worth it?
When you check more properties a month than a pack covers. 5 single reports cost $94.95 and the largest pack, 5 reports, costs $64.99. Pro is $79 for a month of unlimited reports. For a home search spread over several months, a pack usually costs less.
What does unlimited mean?
As many reports as you need for your own work and your clients, up to 50 a day. Automated downloading and reselling the data are not allowed under our Terms.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes, at any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and reports opened through Pro stay available until then. Reports bought singly or in a pack are yours to keep. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Which cities are covered?
The cities and counties listed on our coverage pages. Searching is free, so you can check whether an address is covered before paying.
Who processes the payment?
Our payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which also handles sales tax and receipts. All prices are in US dollars.
